Talk of Raising Taxes - Already!

Well it didn't take long - and it should have been expected. Democrats are already talking about the need to raise taxes.

Robert Rubin, former treasury secretary under Bill Clinton, is urging leaders of the incoming Democratic Congress to consider the need to raise taxes. Rubin said that an increase in taxes is necessary to address the budget deficit.

They still don't get it. One of the reasons that Republicans were sent packing is that they fell into the spending trap. The economy is so strong right now in large part due to the Bush tax cuts.

governor-elect Charlie Christ of Florida swept to victory with a message of less taxes, less government, and more freedom. This is the simple message that Republicans must stand upon.
